The Big Blue 20 Activated Carbon Block Filter absorbs chlorine, benzene, taste, odour, and organic chemicals and contaminants from drinking water, aqueous solutions or suspensions. 
 
The Activated Carbon Filters are made from 100% pre-acid washed granular activated coal or coconut shell. When manufactured they use a proprietary extrusion process that produces a carbon block with more carbon, but a lower pressure drop, and a greater holding capability. The inner and outer wraps are made from non-woven polyolefin, which holds extra dust and allows no carbon ash leaching.
